    Practically based teaching

THI (Technische Hochschule Ingolstadt) is a university of applied sciences that is strong in research. The university's main activities are in the fields of technology (engineering and computer science) and economics – with a distinct focus on mobility topics. Both its traditional and work-study degree courses have a distinct practical basis. All courses of study are also available as dual study programmes.

    Excellent career opportunities

Students interact at an early stage with companies by conducting projects, undergoing practical semesters and writing their final theses in companies; this collaboration effects and secures career opportunities. Graduates aiming for an academic career are able to do a cooperative or joint doctorate at the THI together with a university.

    International orientation

Around half of all THI graduates have gained international experience by the time they graduate. They build up this experience at one of the numerous partner universities or by taking part in an internship abroad. New English-language degree courses increasingly attract students from all over the world.
    Entrepreneurship
A further focus of the THI lies in the fields of digitalisation and entrepreneurship. The Center of Entrepreneurship at the THI provides assistance to students wishing to establish their own start-up. The proximity of the university to the digital start-up centre being built in the south of the campus enables a lively exchange with the start-up world.

    Strong in research

THI's practical orientation is also mirrored in its research activities. Outstanding teaching and research opportunities are available at the campus in the form of the centre for applied research, numerous industrial partners, and the CARISSMA research and test centre – the scientific control centre for vehicle safety in Germany. THI graduates have a chance to take part in scientific projects as research associates and to write their doctoral thesis in cooperation with universities.
