The minor in Peace and Conflict Research offers you an introduction to the topics and concepts of peace and conflict research. The degree programme is consistently practice-oriented. In particular, the Marburg approach is characterised by interactive learning formats (simulation games, conflict intervention simulations, activating teaching and learning forms) as well as an international and interdisciplinary orientation (two modules taught in English).
With the new minor, we are building on a long history of critical and interdisciplinary peace and conflict research in Marburg. In 1996, the first German study offer for peace and conflict research was introduced in Marburg, initially as a minor subject in the Diploma degree course and later on in the Master’s degree course. Due to the strong demand by students, we are now offering a new, interdisciplinary BA minor subject in addition to two Master's degree courses.
An integral part of the degree course is the MarSkills programme, in which you acquire attractive and future-oriented key skills (see www.uni-marburg.de/marskills). - Course Website
