CBS University of Applied Sciences is a state-recognized, private university and part of the renowned Klett Group.

Founded as Cologne Business School, it is now one of the education market leaders in Germany.
The mission statement "Creating Tomorrow" has shaped the university's entire history. CBS recognized new developments early on, introduced the American bachelor's degree model in Germany, and in 2018 became the first German university to receive international IACBE accreditation. In 2020, it consolidated its Cologne, Mainz, and Potsdam campuses under the CBS International Business School brand and shortly thereafter expanded its portfolio to include dual management studies. Since 2025, it has also united the EU|FH's degree programmes in the fields of health, social work, and education under the University brand.

At various locations in Germany, CBS offers bachelor and master degree programmes in full-time, part-time, or dual. The close connection between theory and practice is always at the forefront.
