  • Areas of Concentration Art History, Classical Archaeology, European Cultural History, European Ethnology, European Legal History, History, Literary Studies (Romance Studies, German Studies, Comparative Literary Studies), Philosophy, Political Science
  • Field of study
    • Target group The study programme is aimed at students who have already earned a first degree (e.g. BBA) in one of the relevant disciplines. Generally the degree course requires students to actively work in an inter-disciplinary way, to become actively acquainted with different research perspectives and acquainted with new methods in a focussed way.

    • Annotation of the Higher Education Institution Application periods:
      for the summer semester: Mid-November of the previous year until 1 March
      for the winter semester: Start/mid-May until 15 September

    • Degree course specific admission requirements:
      Registration or selection procedure in accordance with PO:
      1. An above-average professionally qualifying undergraduate degree obtained in Germany or abroad in a course of study relating to Humanities, Cultural Studies, Social Studies or Law or a comparable or higher degree level with an above-average overall grade.
      2. The existence of language skills in two European languages at level B1 CEFR of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages; one of the foreign languages can be Latin.
