    • Target group The interdisciplinary Master’s degree programme "Public History and Cultural Communication" is aimed at students with a first professionally qualifying degree in a subject in the humanities, cultural studies or social sciences. It focuses on questions and problems of public communication and the application of history and culture.

    • First professionally qualifying degree, i.e. certificate of academic degree, or equivalent academic degree with a standard period of study of at least six semesters (180 CP) or comparable scope of studies in a humanities, cultural studies or social science subject with an average grade of at least 2.00, in the field of History or Comparative Cultural Studies/European Ethnology at least 30 credits OR a first professionally qualifying degree, i.e. certificate of academic degree, in a humanities, cultural studies or social science subject; In this case, during the first semester, students must either provide proof of successful completion of a preparatory course as well as successful completion of a proseminar from the Bachelor’s degree programme in History (BA) (out of a total of 7 CP) or proof of successful attendance of the introductory lecture and of a methodology seminar from the Bachelor’s degree programme in Comparative Cultural Studies (BA) (out of a total of 10 CP).
