    The Bauhaus-Universität Weimar’s broad spectrum encompasses around 40 degree programmes and courses of study, ranging from fine art to design, visual communication, media design, media science, media informatics, architecture, civil engineering, engineering and the environment, and management. In every scientific or academic field, as in artistic development, practical relevance plays a vital role.     Research at the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar is diverse, international and interdisciplinary. In addition to the research concentrations "Digital Engineering" and "Cultural Scientific Media Research" there are other fields of research, such as "City, Architecture and Environment," "Material and Construction" and "Art.Design.Science." In every branch of research, the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar supports young scholars in a variety of ways. Structured doctoral programmes offer intensive advising, while teamwork, the curriculum and practical relevance set the conditions for successful completion of a Ph.D.
