The Master's degree course in Physical Geography "Climate and Environmental Change" offers scientifically-oriented training with a focus on the geographical aspects of global climate and environmental change. The central focus of the Master's is the examination of climate and environmental changes on various spatial and temporal scales. Oriented towards the research activities in Mainz, the MSc Climate and Environmental Change focuses mainly on the fields of Paleoclimatology, Geoarchaeology and Urban Climatology. A fundamental understanding of climate change and associated processes on pre-industrial and current time scales not only forms a sound foundation for addressing socially relevant scientific questions within the context of global climate change.
