Europa-Universität Flensburg is networked throughout Europe. The Education area integrates the study of extracurricular socialization process into research on schools and education through childhood and youth studies.

The university offers international semester schedules, as well as English and multilingual degree programs. Teacher education students are particularly encouraged to go abroad during their studies; other degree courses offer trinational degrees and explicitly include study or internship stays abroad.
Virtual mobility should be facilitated in the future, for example by assigning credits for participation in digital formats offered by partner universities. EUF maintains a strong international network. It collaborates with eight other universities across Europe in the EMERGE project and with the Danish Syddansk Universities. Interconnecting students and lecturers across Europe and beyond, as well as strengthening exchange—these are always in focus.
