    • Mode of admission selection procedure / qualifying examination
    • Admission semester summer semester
    • - General higher education entrance qualification (Abitur) or subject-specific higher education entrance qualification (Fachabitur) or secondary school leaving certificate (Mittlere Reife) PLUS qualified 3-year professional training with a final grade of 2.5 or better)
      - Completion of training as a state-recognised carer for people with special educational needs according to the current curriculum*
      - Participation in an individual counselling interview
      - Approval of the model and the campus agreement of the YMCA University of Applied Sciences

      *for carers for people with special educational needs who have completed their professional training in Brandenburg, Bremen, Saarland or Hamburg, recognition will be assessed on an individual basis. For this purpose, please submit the curriculum of the school where you completed your professional training along with your application documents.

      If the professional training was not completed according to the new curriculum, applicants can still be admitted to the degree course if they take an individual admission examination. Please do not hesitate to contact us.
