      When a fire breaks out, an IT disruption brings hospitals or companies to a standstill, or a disaster threatens – every detail counts.

      In the Security & Safety Engineering degree programme, you will learn how to protect people, systems and companies from hazards – from fires to cyber attacks to natural disasters.

      You will combine engineering knowledge, digital methods, management and psychology to develop solutions that help in an emergency. The aim is to protect people, companies and the environment from hazards – from fire and radiation to cyber attacks and disaster prevention.

      During your studies, you will learn:
      • How to prepare people and organisations for crises
      • How to identify, assess and minimise risks
      • How to plan, test and improve emergency, evacuation and crisis procedures
      • How to develop security solutions using state-of-the-art IT and engineering technology
      • How to protect employees in industry and chemical companies from hazardous substances
      • How to make data-driven and responsible security decisions
