    • Mode of admission without admission restriction
    • Admission semester winter semester
    • Admission requirements are:
      1) proof of English language proficiency of at least level B2 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) for applicants who have neither obtained their higher education entrance qualification nor the first degree granting access to the degree programme in English;
      2) proof of German language proficiency of at least level A1 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) for applicants who have neither obtained their higher education entrance qualification nor the first degree granting access to the degree programme in German. This proof may be submitted by the end of the second semester.
      3) the submission of a letter in English of no more than 2 pages explaining why you have chosen the Master’s degree course

      (and other qualifications, provided that they are recognised as being equivalent)

      Minimum requirements for first university degree:
      • Minimum grade: 2.50
      • Minimum standard period of study: 6 semesters
      • Required ECTS credits: 180

      For this degree programme, you should have gained your first university qualification in one of the following subjects groups or areas of study:
      • Subject group: Language and Cultural Studies
      • Area of study: Ethnology, Anthropology
    • Required language skills
    • Required minimum language skills that must be proven by passing one or more of the following language tests:
      • GER (English): B2
