    • Target group Ambitious people from the entertainment industry with at least one year of professional experience, e.g. editors, (junior) producers, production managers, freelance authors, or from individual trades of entertainment production (e.g. editing, direction, camera, casting, etc.), as well as from related industries such as events, theatre and transmedia/online production. The career-integrated Master's degree course offers media professionals from the entertainment industry and career-changers the opportunity to expand and deepen their theoretical and practical knowledge in order to further qualify for management tasks or entrepreneurial activities.

    • Annotation of the Higher Education Institution The Master's degree course in ENTERTAINMENT PRODUCING is organised as part of a cooperation agreement with TH Köln (Cologne University of Applied Sciences) at the ifs (International Film School Cologne).

      The degree course commences every other year in the winter semester. Next commencement in the winter semester 2027/2028.

    • A Bachelor's academic degree (or equivalent) worth at least 180 ECTS credit points or a higher degree (e.g. a German Magister or Diploma degree) from a recognised university

      The ifs welcomes applications from ambitious people working in the entertainment industry who have earned degrees in non-related subjects.

      Applicants must have at least one year of professional experience in the entertainment industry – in production/editing or in the individual creative trades of production (e.g. directing, camera, editing, casting, etc.). It is also possible to apply from a related practical area such as events, theatre or transmedia/multimedia production.

    • Required practical experience In addition to completing your first university degree, you need the following practical experience to be admitted onto this degree programme:
