    • Annotation of the Higher Education Institution This Master's degree programme in Philosophy, which is oriented towards current research, is aimed at students who have completed their Bachelor's degree (especially that of Philosophy in Marburg) or an equivalent programme with above-average grades.

They should not only deepen and broaden philosophical knowledge and methods of thought, but should already be introduced to the current topics and working methods of the academic subject in research and teaching or actively participate in research and teaching with the support of the teaching staff. Last but not least, the philosophical practice at the Philipps-Universität Marburg, which is renowned both historically and systematically, ensures that students are qualified for professional activities, especially in the academic field, as well as for doctoral studies.

The formation of focal points is made possible by a choice of basic, advanced and practical modules, whereby the Marburg research profile with its focus on Kant research and the Enlightenment (equally understood as a historical epoch and systematic style of thinking) offers special possibilities.
