    • Target group The consecutive Master’s degree programme in Physics at the University of Regensburg is research-oriented and is aimed at two groups of graduates: around 50% of graduates will aspire to work in industry immediately after graduation. In addition to their basic understanding of the natural sciences, graduates’ familiarity with the modelling methods specific to physics has proven to be extremely versatile and in high demand. The non-physics complementary subjects offered as part of the Master’s degree programme allow students to expand their studies at an early stage to include the specialised knowledge relevant to their desired field of work. The other 50% of graduates continue their academic education with a doctorate and thus form a cornerstone of research. The aim of the Master’s degree programme for these students is to optimise their education in the specialisation they have chosen.
