Access and Admission Requirements

- Admission semester summer and winter semester
- 1. A degree course comprising at least 6 theoretical semesters and 180 ECTS points from a comprehensive course of study in the field of Natural or Engineering Science with a minimum overall examination grade of 2.5 or better at a German institution of higher education, or an equivalent academic degree.
  Applicants with an overall grade below 2.5 or without practical experience have the chance to prove their aptitude in an aptitude test (admissions interview).
  
  2. Proof of basic knowledge of at least 10 ECTS points in the field of Physics / Optics from the course.
  
  3. Completion of a practical semester during the degree course or at least 18 weeks of relevant professional work in the industry.
  
  4. Proof of German language skills at level A2 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).

  - Subject group: Engineering Sciences, Mathematics, Natural Sciences
- Required language skills
- Required minimum language skills that must be proven by passing one or more of the following language tests:
  - Deutsch (Deutsch): B2
- Required practical experience
  In addition to completing your first university degree, you need the following practical experience to be admitted onto this degree programme:
