It therefore addresses the entire spectrum of medicine and health professionals. The MSH relies on an interdisciplinary and sector-integrating university concept and thus follows the recommendations of the German Science Council, among others, for inter-professional cooperation to improve the quality of health care.

The part-time model gives students in the family phase the opportunity to continue their academic qualification alongside their job and family. The lectures are held at four block weekends per semester.
