    • Target group Graduates of a relevant Bachelor's degree course in the field of natural sciences or with a comparable domestic or foreign university degree. Admission can be granted to those who have at least 60 credit points in subjects that are reflected in the subject spectrum of the basic, advanced and in-depth modules of the Bachelor's degree course in Biology at the Philipps University of Marburg. 30 credit points must be clearly assignable to modules with an ecological, nature conservation or organismic orientation.

    • Annotation of the Higher Education Institution The advanced Master's degree programme in Biodiversity and Nature Conservation provides training in anatomical, nature conservation biological, ecological and systematic sub-areas of biology. In order to describe and analyse strains and species, including their ecology and endangerment status, you will be taught a wide range of methods that include computer modelling of complex systems in addition to classic and molecular methods.

      In the first year, you will be taught fundamental knowledge that has a specialist and professionally qualifying character. The second year serves to deepen acquired specialist knowledge as well as to familiarise students with the topic of the six-month Master's thesis and ends with its submission. The degree course is research-oriented.

      Research focuses:
      The education and training take place in an active, internationally renowned research environment in which nature conservation, ecology, mycology, special zoology, evolution and developmental biology of animals and animal physiology can be chosen as study focuses.
