    • Annotation of the Higher Education Institution The Institute of Classical Archaeology is part of the PONS network. The aim of the network is to facilitate student exchanges for one or two semesters between the participating institutes of classical archaeology within Germany (e.g. Göttingen, Leipzig, Freiburg, Berlin). The initiative supports this exchange financially and organisationally and is supported by the Volkswagen Foundation.

    • Proof of qualification for the Master’s degree programme; This is generally demonstrated by a first professionally qualifying degree, i.e. certificate of academic degree in Classical Archaeology and at least the grade "good" (2.5) after 150 CP; Proof of course-specific aptitude through a successfully completed aptitude procedure if the grade achieved after 150 CP is not at least "good" (2.5), or the first professionally qualifying degree, i.e. certificate of academic degree, was not obtained in the subject "Classical Archaeology", but in a subject related to Classical Archaeology (e.g. Ancient History, Classical Philology, Prehistory and Early History, or Art History) with at least the grade "good" after 150 CP.

      Minimum requirements for first university degree:
      • Minimum grade: 2.50
      • Minimum number of semesters: 6 semesters

      • Latein (staatliche oder hochschulinterne Prüfung): Niveau Latinum
