Programmes with national admission restrictions

Programmes in medicine, pharmacy, and veterinary medicine are so popular that admission to them is restricted on a nationwide basis at all higher education institutions, i.e. they are subject to numerus clausus restrictions. Applications and allocation of places for these programmes is handled centrally by the Stiftung für Hochschulzulassung (Foundation for University Admissions).

If you would like to study one of these programmes, please note the application deadlines: for recent school-leavers, the application deadlines are 15 July for the winter semester and 15 January for the summer semester.
